Porridge with ginger syrup and apple compote

This porridge with ginger syrup apple compote is the perfect breakfast for a healthy start to the day! Refined with Ben's ginger concentrate, this breakfast is quickly prepared and provides a lot of nutritious fiber. 

Ingredients for two servings:

  • 150 g tender oat flakes
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 apple 
  • 100 ml organic ginger concentrate from Ben's Ginger 
  • 1 handful of pecans
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter 
  • 2 tablespoons toasted coconut chips
  • Maple syrup to taste 


Here's how:

First, wash the apple, pat dry and remove the core. Then cut into small cubes. 

Simmer the apples in a saucepan with Ben's Ginger Ginger Concentrate for about 15 minutes until a compote is formed as ginger syrup. 

Next, bring oatmeal to a boil with water in a saucepan, then remove from heat, stirring frequently until a creamy consistency is achieved. Now the porridge with the ginger syrup compote and toppings can be served and enjoyed.
